Brown is the new black and if you don't have a longline cardigan in it yet, here's your sign. This is the piece that makes everything else in your wardrobe work harder — it's what you grab when an outfit looks almost right and needs one more layer to land properly. It doesn't demand attention. It just makes everything look more considered.

Why you actually need this

  • The longline length is a proportion corrector. It creates a vertical line down the front of your body that elongates your silhouette regardless of what you're wearing underneath. Whether it's jeans and a tee or a slip dress and boots, this cardigan makes the overall shape more intentional.
  • Open-front means it works as a layer, not just a top. You can throw it over literally anything without having to think about whether it 'goes.' The open front never competes with what's underneath — it just frames it.
  • Breathable enough for year-round wear. The viscose-polyester-nylon blend makes this lighter than it looks. You won't overheat in it in September, and it provides real warmth in December. It's the cardigan that doesn't get retired seasonally.

What it's made of

50% viscose, 28% polyester, 22% nylon. The viscose is the reason this drapes so softly — it falls like liquid rather than holding a stiff shape. The polyester and nylon add structure and durability so it doesn't stretch out of shape or develop that limp, worn-in look after a few washes. The brown colorway was developed to sit warm and rich — not orange-y, not muddy — which is genuinely hard to land in this fiber blend.

How to wear it

  • Layer over a fitted white tee and high-waisted straight jeans for a complete, no-effort outfit.
  • Wear over a slip dress as a transitional layer — open front, belted at the waist if you want more shape.
  • Use as your 'I'm cold but not that cold' layer at any time of year — it's lightweight enough to carry without thinking about it.

She knows that the right neutral layer is what makes the rest of her wardrobe make sense.
